Brownies

Hi Brownies!

Unfortunately what you were working on before our unexpected break can only be completed when we are back as it is showing each other what you were working on last week. So we have found a couple of completely new activities for you to be working on this week, have a look below to find out more. You can work on them both or choose which one suits you best!

DIG IT UP!

Don't worry parents it doesn't have to involve actual digging!
This one is about putting together your own puzzle like an archaeologist (they dig up historical items and help work out whats happened in the past)

You need to find 3 objects, you can try digging somewhere you have permission to do so but it might be easier to find three objects at school or home. You don't need to take these objects with you but you need to remember them or maybe take a picture.

Next you need to imagine who these objects might have belonged to in the past, you have never met the person you're thinking of. Try to think about who that person is, what they're like and what their story is - write this down for each object.

You have now made a historical profile of a person!

PROMOTE!

Your first job is to pick a charity you want to support and investigate what it does.

Next you need to tell your family about the charity you've chosen - this is like promotion of your charity, people who support charities often tell others about the fantastic things they do in order to explain what it stands for and why it's good to support.

Finally you need to do a bit of research on what makes good promotion, this one is easy to do if you like watching TV! Adverts are a great way to promote your charity, so are songs and big colourful posters. Try promoting your charity in one of these ways ... show whatever you create to 10 people to help spread the word about your chosen charity.
